At very little notice Peter set up a fantastic 8 night trip showcasing the best that Kerala has to offer. We departed and arrived at awkward times and he factored these into a very considerate trip e.g. He got us a 5am check in at first hotel without the cost of an extra night. We also had four hours at a very good airport hotel to allow us to freshen up before our 10pm departure. We were met at the airport by Peter at 3am and he introduced us to our driver Biju. This was a very personal touch and demonstrated Peter's dedication to impressing his clients.
Our hotels, guides and wonderful driver helped us enjoy a relaxing exploration of South India. The first night in athripally and the last night on the houseboat are rich and treasured memories!

“Perfect tour with Carnival! Holiday of a lifetime!”

I contacted Peter at Carnival only a week before I was arriving into Kerala, very quickly we agreed by email a personalised itinerary with 3 days in Munnar and 2 in Allerpey, and then a trip to Kovalam. Peter took care of all my requirements, it couldn't have been easier!
As soon as I arrived into Kochi, Peter was there to meet me, and introduced me to my guide and driver, and minutes later I was on my way to Munnar.
With a stay in a beautiful boutique hotel for one night, a trek through the beautiful hills of Munnar upto a nature Eco-resort, and then a few days on a house boat in Allepey.
I understand why people call Kerala, God's Own Land!
I will come back to Kerala, and have no hesitation to contact Peter @ Carnival again.

My husband and I planned an impromptu trip to Kerela and were so happy we chose Carnival just two weeks before we departed. I found them on TripAdvisor, and within literally minutes of writing on their website, I received an email from Peter. He was simply amazing in quickly putting together an itinerary for us (accomodating all my requests and endless questions). We paid by credit card and that was one simple phonecall from Peter.
As for the trip itself, we spent 2 days at Munnar at a treehouse in Kaivalyam retreat, 1 day at a deluxe houseboat in Alleppey and half-day city tour of Kochi. Our driver Simon was outstanding...profession, polite, drove safely, was plasant to chat with and full of information and best of all took very good care of us. We arrived Kochi at 7am and both Peter and Simon came to pick us from the airport, which was a very nice gesture. Both the treehouse and houseboat were magical experiences and I can't thank Peter enough for suggesting both those places!
I highly recommend Carnival Tours for travel within Kerela...you get your money's worth and much more!

They organised an amazing 12 day trip in the Kerala region. I was able to personalise the itinerary. Our contact at Carnival kept regular contact to make sure that our trip was going according to plan. They even purchased little gifts for our young girls which was very well received. Definitely recommend them and would use them again.

After reading the reviews on Tripadvisor about Carnival Tours I contacted Carnival from Florida via email about an upcoming trip to Cochin. Peter helped me to plan & then arranged every detail of our trip - itinerary, hotel choice, guide, driver, airport pickups. His communication with us throughout the planning process was excellent at all times - especially considering the time difference. We used email, Whatsapp & cell phone calls when necessary. He listened to my requirements & made it happen! Our stay in Cochin was fantastic with a spacious comfortable car, excellent guide & driver. Peter was there to greet us on arrival at the airport and checked in with us during our stay. Best recommendation is if we come back to Kerala state - which we we hope to do - we will be in touch with Carnival to plan our trip!!

I contacted a few tour operators sourced from the internet and gave them a list of requirements and what we wanted to do for 9 days and Carnival came back with an itinery that contained all the things and requests we wanted. The others, sadly had to be asked again and again to send a revised itinery. As this was a trip for my wife's birthday, I did request for better accommodation. When the itinery and costing came back to us, we thought it was a wee bit pricey but a phone call to Peter Dalglish (and he is not Scotsman) and we were told that there is simply no comparison to other hotels in an alternative list. He sounded very professional and assuring and we went with Carnival on the list they recommended. At the end of the trip, we reflected back and true to what he had said, I think there would have been little comparison to the establishments recommended.
Response was quick and there was no problems with language. They had the eye for little things like noticing that we were on a late flight back and the itinery even contained a day room for us to freshen up before our flight. This was the first time any tour operator included this in their itinery for us.
Every aspect mentioned in the itinery, travel plans, places to be visited, etc was fulfilled without the need for any reminders. It was also very kind of Peter to meet us at the airport although we did not expect that. He met us again later as we were near his office and contacted us mid way through the tour to check if everything was ok, and again after we concluded our tour.
The transport arranged was also in a new vehicle and clean. The driver speaks English well enough to communicate and have a conversation.
We took a chance to contact an establishment we never had any idea about with very short notice (like a week and a half) and it turned out to be JUST PERFECT. We have no hesitation to use this family company again.

The journey was well organised and everything was perfect. Peters choice for the homestays was fabulous.We even got an early check in after arrival early in Kochi which was very important. Our driver in Kochi and Babu for the next days were carefully and friendly. The drop off at our last station worked as well perfect.We saw Munnar, Periyar, Fort Kochi and 22 hours houseboat backwaters.The price was fair, but maybe the strong Rupiah against the Euro can cause a problem in future.We recommend carnival tours very highly and enjoyed a great trip to Kerala. We were first time visitors to India and wanted someone who knew the ropes to arrange our trip in Kerala for us. We chose Carnival Tours on the strength of the excellent Trip Advisor reviews we had read and we were not disappointed. From our very first contact with Peter we were impressed by his professionalism, knowledge, and flexibility. He answered each and every email query promptly and courteously, and contacted us during the trip to make sure everything was going well. The car and driver he arranged for us could not have been better; the car was a Toyota Innova which was very comfortable and clean. The driver spoke very good English (though Peter does warn that some drivers have only basic English) and was very friendly, informative and helpful. We can highly recommend The Windermere Estate Hotel in Munnar, and the Devas Indulge Houseboat for our backwaters overnight trip was excellent. The meals provided on board were superb. Everything went according to plan and we have no hesitation in recommending Carnival Tours. We would certainly use them again if/when we return to Kerala.

This was my first trip to India in 28 years and my wife's first trip ever. Needless to say neither one of us knew what to expect. Working with Peter from Carnival Tours made the experience so relaxing and carefree. He was prompt, detailed and organized in his responses to our questions prior to the trip. Peter put together an itinerary that took us from Kochi to Munnar (2 nights in a resort), Thekkady (1 night in a resort), Alleppey (1 night on a houseboat) and back to Kochi (1/2 day sightseeing). We loved the itinerary and the activities that were setup for us! Furthermore the accommodations that Peter arranged were excellent. He met us at the start of our tour as well as at the end. And he contacted us during the tour to make sure we were happy. Also our driver, Shojan (sp?) was excellent and very accommodating. He didn't mind us requesting frequent stops to take pictures, to buy snacks etc. He truly cared that our experience was a good one, and asked us for feedback every day. If you're thinking of visiting Kerala you really should consider using Carnival to get the best out of your visit.

In January 2015 we made a 2days-trip from Cochi to Munnar. The communication and arrangement with Carnival Tours was straightforward and well customised. We had a safe driver, he was professional and very friendly. I contacted Carnival Tours only 1 week before going to Cochin. They were able to organize a boat for an afternoon cruise in the backwaters for us without problems. they picked us up at our hotel, the food and the drivers on the boat were fantastic. It was a wonderful way to see the backwaters. I would definitely recommend Carnival Tours.

We were in Cochin as part of a long cruise, and prefer to use local tour operators where possible than take the cruise company tours. Communication with Carnival Tours was easy, and they responded quickly to emails. The organisation was great - we hired a driver and tour guide for a day. They were waiting for us when we docked, and we then had a half day's tour of the local area. This was much more personable than the large cruise tours, and we were able to dictate where and when we wanted to go. The driver and guide were great. Thank you - we managed to see and experience a lot in the short space of time we had. Thoroughly recommended.

The reason I picked Carnival Tours was based on the great reviews I saw on Tripadvisor. And I agree with them all. Having returned from Kerala, I want to do it all over again. We arranged a custom built 7 day, 6 night tour and it was just perfect in every way. Emails and queries were answered promptly by Peter and he made the whole booking process very easy.
Peter was even at the airport to meet us and welcome us with a flower necklace (nice touch!). Our driver safely took us to Fort Cochin, Munnar, Thekkady and Alleppy houseboat in a private and comfortable vehicle. Even though the roads are insane in India, we knew we were in safe hands!
Accommodations were outstanding, Tea Bungalow in Fort Cochin a delight. The Nature Zone tree house resort in Munnar was out of this world. The Elephant court in Thekkady had outstanding customer service and the Houseboat was just a dream.
My first time to India (won't be my last) was made easy and comfortable thanks to Carnival. It was the perfect way to be introduced to such a fabulous part of the world! I am already recommending Carnival to all my friends and family! Well done Peter!

My parents and I booked a 7 day tour around Kerala with Carnival Tours. Emails and questions were promptly answered.From arrival till departure, Peter and Simon (the designated driver) took very good care of us. Some of the places we went to are Munnar, Thekkady and Allepey Houseboat, Accommodation at all the various locations were excellent. No complaints whatsoever. The transport provided was comfortable and clean. Simon happily entertained all our questions throughout the journey and Peter would constantly check on us via SMS to ensure everything was going on smoothly. One of the travelling day had been my birthday. Carnival Tours had arranged for some surprise celebration to take place at the hotel that we were staying that day and also on the boat house. Talk about going the extra mile. The houseboat arrangement was nothing short of excellent. It was clean with all the necessary amenities provided, excellent on board food and as an added bonus, you'll have the amazing view of the backwater.In short, you'll not go wrong booking your tour with Carnival Tours. I only had 3 days and couldn't find a company that organised a tour I wanted to do. Peter at carnival tours was very helpful and organised exactly what I needed. I asked lots of questions and he responded quickly via email. The driver, Micheal was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. When my daughter mentioned a particular snack she had tried and lived in Mumbai, Micheal turned up the next day we did our safari tour armed with this snack for her. The hotels and houseboat were excellent that Peter recommended. He made the effort to great us at Cochiin airport and also came towards the end of our tour to see how we had gone and to say thank you. I would definitely recommend carnival tours if you want to organise a customised tour of Kerela. We were very well looked after and had an amazing experience.

We have just come back from a 13 night tour around Kerala using Carnival Tours. The service we received both from Peter & our driver Suresh was faultless, the accommodations provided were exceptional all the way through our tour. Peter would keep in regular contact to make sure everything was going smoothly.

We went on a tailored 5 day tour that was a customized version of their 'boathouse, treehouse, farmhouse' tour and had a wonderful time. Peter was responsive and responsible - a couple of weeks before our tour he told us that there were some concerns over the quality of the tree houses we booked, and offered to change to a different tree house accommodation in Munnar. The new place was slightly cheaper and they returned the difference in cash to us when we arrived. In the end, all of the accommodation we stayed in (Lakes and Lagoons for the backwaters, Kaivalayam retreat in Munnar, Dewalokum farm retreat, and Flora airport hotel) were excellent.
They were very accommodating of our requests for additional elements to the tour - we wanted to visit Kolukkumali tea estate (an absolute must in Munnar) as well as take a cooking class with Nimi's lipsmacking classes (also highly recommended) and they worked both into our itinerary. During the tour, we found out about Thatkkedad bird sanctuary, which was a little bit of a detour from our original itinerary. Again Peter and Simon (our driver) worked it in seamlessly.
The only bad experience we had on our tour was the Ayurvedic massage in Munnar, which is absolutely no fault of Carnival's. However if you are offered the option, skip it.

We were on a tight schedule and wanted to see as much of Kerala as we could. Peter organised the trip well and I felt satisfied we really had made the best of the time we had.
Our driver 'Rejoy' was excellent and I would highly recommend him to anyone going over there. His English was very good and he was also very knowledgeable.
My favourite day of the whole trip was Elephant Junction in Thekkady. This is an absolute must if you love elephants. Here you will be able to ride, feed and wash the elephants.
There was not one hotel I was not satisfied with . One of the places we stayed in Munnar had no water pressure but the place was so stunning we didn't let that dampen our day.
We absolutely loved Kerala and we are already looking into coming back next year.
You must eat as much as possible while you are there. The food is amazing and super cheap!!
We were two people and found it hard to spend over £15 at dinner and that's with 4 beers thrown in.

Thanks to Peter in Carnival Tours for preparing this fantastic roundtrip in Kerala. We have absolutely no complaints - our expectations were fullfilled and more to. The accomodations at the homestays in the countryside were a nice surprise and it gave us insight into familyliving, food, society etc. that we have not been able to experience in a hotel.
Our driver Babu is a chapter of it's own. Very competent chauffeur with a gentle and nice personality, good sense of humor and good at english.

Peter planned an incredible 9 days for my husband and I - arranging lodging, driver, treks, guides, activities - pretty much everything. He put up with a ton of back and forth before we finalized the Munnar-Madurai-Thekkady-Alleppey itinerary. All his suggestions about itinerary and lodging proved to be right on and he even came to meet us in Kochi before we set out. Kerala was amazing we went on the Devas indulge houseboat abd it was just impressive food service boat excellent.
Punnamada resort in Allepey really unique loved it. And also the Gavi safari trekking in Thekhady an unique experience. Elephant ride fun too.....to be done again.

We had an amazing trip of a life time I would highly recommend this trip there was 4 ad and 2 ch 5yrs and 8yrs and we were really well looked after.
It was excellent Peter was great at organising not only our trip but giving us info for our onward plans he was great at communicating and I would defo book with him again.
